What Would Derria Wear?: On Her Birthday!

It’s my 28th Birthday and I’m so blessed and thankful for how far I’ve come!

If you asked what I would be doing this year for my 28th birthday back in December I would have probably said that I was going to be out of the country with my friends. But… instead I’m moving across the country by myself with no friends or family. Talk about a leap of faith. This is the second biggest milestone of my life so I am trying to stay positive and not be too nervous about this HUGE move.

So much to prepare for… looking for a new job, buying new furniture and also finding new restaurants to try and new places to explore. New memories to create in the Year of 28. This is my year of INCREASE. Increase in wealth, health, happiness and love.

In the midst of going through this huge move I was able to do more outfit shoots. This look is one of my favorites. The Who What Wear Collection is definitely one of my favorite collections in Target. There are always some really cute items that would be perfect in any woman’s wardrobe so don’t sleep on them.

The bulk of my look is from the new Who What Wear Collection, jacket and skirt. Cute right!? Both were priced under $40. Paired with a grommet cut off band t-shirt and one of my favorite and most comfortable pairs of Steve Madden heels. Check out more outfit details below!

70s Flare.

Going to start this post off talking about this bag I searched high and low for after leaving it in my cart and it disappearing after two weeks of trying to wait it out and get a discount on it. Mind you this beautiful market bag only ran me a smooth $35. Which isn’t bad at all for Target but I thank WhoWhatWear for the low prices!

The Format.

More Men’s wear in my closet in 2017! I’m not afraid to go to the Men’s section in any store just to see what hidden gems I can find. The shirt I’m wearing is from the HM men’s department in an XS so it fits just like it would in the women’s section.  Continue reading “The Format.”

Admit One: Band Tee Style Series Part Three

Last but certainly not least Part Three to my Band Tee Style Series is my favorite look of the week. I’ve been sitting on this look for couple weeks and I couldn’t wait for the opportunity to shoot it. My metallic skirt is the TRUTH..okay! Even though I did pay more than I wanted for it ($70), I quickly gave ASOS my coins when it was restocked. Paired with a Forever 21 Men’s band tee and some leopard printed booties made for perfect Band Tee Style! I honestly want to know how you style your band tees, let me know and tag #BandTeeStyleSeries on IG! Outfit details below:

Admit One: Band Tee Style Series Part Two

You’d never believe me if i told you that I’ve been sitting on the items worn in this post for a few months now… but its the honest truth. I have a habit of buying really cute items and waiting sometimes weeks and months for the right time to wear or blog it. First things first you need at least one pair of thigh high boots in your wardrobe, you can wear them any season just about. Grab a open-toe pair for the Summer and a closed toe pair for the Fall/Winter months. I randomly snagged mine from Windsor online late this summer for really reasonable price. Neutral Queen.

This year my wardrobe was a mixture of basics and neutrals that I could piece together beautifully without a hitch! It’s been going well thus far but as the summer is approaching I’m wanting to buy more color and upbeat prints to give my wardrobe some edginess. My favorite Maxi Vest is from the WhoWhatWear for Target line. I snagged it with a quickness and I’ll probably keep it forever, so chic! When I find a basic body con dress that fits me well and isn’t thin as I don’t know what I try to buy them in all colors. Got this cream one from Forver 21 for under $15! Last but not least my fringe heels from Targét as some folks call it. I caught these when they had just started putting out New Spring Merchandise! Win!
