When you think of Business Casual or Dress clothes, do you think about pinstripes?
I sure do! But I Dress Up to Dress down when it comes to my wardrobe. And mixing up your casual and business clothes can be fun and challenging.
A casual band T-shirt with a pinstripe wrap skirt is how I approached this trend. And of course outfits under $50 or $100 are always the goal.
My cut off band T-Shirt is from HM it only ran me about $18. But I always use a 20% off text coupon so it was most likely a little less. The wrap skirt.. $7! What’s crazy is I saw it in another Forever 21 store for Regular price $15 and when I was at another location I found it on the sale rack for half price! Frugal Shopaholic Luck!
Glasses are Buffalo Exchange of course, probably the only place in-store next to Forever 21 that I buy glasses. Surprisingly my bag is from TJ Maxx. For those of you who continue to sleep on TJ Maxx… keep on so I can round up all the cute stuff for my own wardrobe.
Last but not least my heels. They are Cape Robbin brand and I got them from Nordstrom Rack for under $30. You should definitely frequent Nordstrom Rack online. They have some of the best brands for really low prices, I just wish they had free shipping!

Have you ever come across a swimsuit that you loved but didn’t want it to just be worn on pool day?
It’s important to be flexible in your wardrobe and keep an open mind. Even the trend of pajamas being worn as casual wear is a pretty dope concept especially with the prints I’ve seen and also mixing with other types of clothing. One thing that I am definitely sold on is wearing a swimsuit as a top or bodysuit within your everyday wardrobe.
There’s been plenty of times that I have come across a really cute swimsuit automatically thought about wearing it as a cute bodysuit instead. Check out my post on Frugal Shopaholics where I talk more about Swimsuit Turing Bodysuits and also so frugal and chic choices for options.
In this outfit post I’m wearing a color bar swimsuit that I absolutely love. I have a Longchamp bag that is the same print so I instantly fell in love with it, and it was under $10! Paired my new found bodysuit with a patent leather skirt from Forever 21 that was only $15. I don’t think anyone can compete with me when it comes to shopping for frugal clothing or anything frugal. My bag is one of three that was purchased from Tj Maxx a few years ago. I got one in Pink, Blue and Black. Such a convenient clutch bag.
Let’s get into these Nike Prestos, they are my favorite sneakers and they make me feel like I’m walking on air, Perfect right? Mint, Yellow, Nude and Black are all the colors I’ve purchased in the last few months. Mostly from Nordstrom online and the Nike Factory Outlet here in Charlotte, NC.
A lot of people sleep on Forever 21 but I have found some of the cutest pieces there that when people ask they don’t believe that I got them from there. My oversized denim jacket is from Forever 21 and it’s really good quality denim. It was only $35! Not too bad. Check out more outfit details below!

Im back! I took a brief hiatus. Its such a struggle working full time and having a passion for other things outside of work. If you have a business or a blog I know you feel where I am coming from. But I’m not complaining whatsoever, because I love being busy. If I’m not at work then I am shopping for myself or my clients which keeps life interesting.

It’s 12 am Wednesday morning… and I’m drawing a blank. Have you ever just felt so drained by everything? With work, blogging and keeping up with loved ones, I feel like I’m 5 different women and they are all tired.

I really enjoy taking blog photos and I’m always distraught when my brother can’t be my photographer and I don’t have a backup. This past weekend wasn’t one of those times, I am back in action!

After attending a Grand Opening of a local Boutique here in Charlotte, I came across a beautiful embroidered maxi dress that was to die for!!! But it was wayyyy out of my budget… $120 worth. I knew after looking at the tag that I couldn’t afford it. Every since then I have been on the hunt for a similar dress.

My business partner Christen tagged me in photo on IG of a shirt that read “You do what you want when you blogging” and I instantly fell in love. This was the blogger tee for me. I mean obviously we have come across other cool blogger tees but this one rang true to our values as bloggers. We are two up and coming frugal fashion bloggers/influencers out her trying to make it on our terms. All in all we do what we want! This blog look is based around this special Tee and I want to give a special shoutout to Shea @Sheawhatsreal on IG for coming up with this Genius shirt idea for Bloggers. Make sure you snag one! Bodysuits are my absolute favorite this year. Any time I can find them for under $15 at Forever21 for the basic plain ones I buy them. Just like TJ Maxx if you see something you like, you need to buy it because it probably wont be there when you go back. Within the last month I bought three really cool bodysuits. Two from Nordstrom x Topshop and one from Forever21 all for under $30. Check them out below!
Topshop Zip Animal Print Bodysuit- Nordstrom $15
Cactus Bodysuit- Forever21 $15
Stripe Topshop Bodysuit- $25
The best places to look for really cute bodysuits in my opinion is Nordstrom, Forever21, Wetseal, Topshop and Asos.
There are times when I want my look to be more coordinated than others and this was one of those times. I had been holding on to this jacket for almost two months and its already too hot to wear in the NC Heat but it worked out for a 5 am shoot! I really love Adidas and the majority of their printed clothing. It always seems to end up in my wardrobe.
