It’s my 28th Birthday and I’m so blessed and thankful for how far I’ve come!
If you asked what I would be doing this year for my 28th birthday back in December I would have probably said that I was going to be out of the country with my friends. But… instead I’m moving across the country by myself with no friends or family. Talk about a leap of faith. This is the second biggest milestone of my life so I am trying to stay positive and not be too nervous about this HUGE move.
So much to prepare for… looking for a new job, buying new furniture and also finding new restaurants to try and new places to explore. New memories to create in the Year of 28. This is my year of INCREASE. Increase in wealth, health, happiness and love.
In the midst of going through this huge move I was able to do more outfit shoots. This look is one of my favorites. The Who What Wear Collection is definitely one of my favorite collections in Target. There are always some really cute items that would be perfect in any woman’s wardrobe so don’t sleep on them.
The bulk of my look is from the new Who What Wear Collection, jacket and skirt. Cute right!? Both were priced under $40. Paired with a grommet cut off band t-shirt and one of my favorite and most comfortable pairs of Steve Madden heels. Check out more outfit details below!
Shirt: Forever 21
Heels: Steve Madden
I sure could use a vacation on the shore of somebody’s beach, but until then I’ll envision myself in a bikini with my jersey cover-up.
Better yet lets talk about how Athletic wear is making its way into the wardrobes of many. A few years back I was thrift shopping at my local Goodwill and saw a pair of baseball pants and two random football/basketball jerseys. I didn’t know what I would use them for just yet but I forecasted that they would eventually be a trend. I used the pants for a shoot about two years ago that I paired with a crop top and a vintage Letterman jacket.

Im back! I took a brief hiatus. Its such a struggle working full time and having a passion for other things outside of work. If you have a business or a blog I know you feel where I am coming from. But I’m not complaining whatsoever, because I love being busy. If I’m not at work then I am shopping for myself or my clients which keeps life interesting.

It’s 12 am Wednesday morning… and I’m drawing a blank. Have you ever just felt so drained by everything? With work, blogging and keeping up with loved ones, I feel like I’m 5 different women and they are all tired.

It’s been two weeks since my Cuba trip and I’m finally feeling normal again. Packing for me can be fun but hectic depending on the destination.

I’ll stop wearing black when they make a darker color. There’s never a wrong time to wear all black in my book. Even in 90 degree weather you’ll attract heat but you’ll look damn good doing it. My brother said this look had Adams’s family vibes and I instantly felt that vibe and wanted to serve the attitude to go with it.

Back from Cuba and it’s time to get back to blogging regularly. I will say I’m still trying to catch up on sleep/rest. Traveling can be very tiring.
For the sake of travel, it’s always my goal to travel and be comfortable but stylish at the same time…. this is the same for the gym. All of my gym clothes are cute and match for the most part. But there are times that I just want to wear my gym clothes even though I’m not going to the gym and I’m okay with that. In the fashion world the popular term for it is “Athleisure”. Casual, comfortable clothing designed for both exercise and everyday wear.

Pink is not my favorite color whatsoever. But it seems like this year I’ve turned a new leaf and introduced more and more pink into my wardrobe. I guess that’s exciting considering the fact that the items are dope or just serve as a foundation in wardrobe.

After attending a Grand Opening of a local Boutique here in Charlotte, I came across a beautiful embroidered maxi dress that was to die for!!! But it was wayyyy out of my budget… $120 worth. I knew after looking at the tag that I couldn’t afford it. Every since then I have been on the hunt for a similar dress.

Let me just start off by saying pink isn’t my favorite color at all. But being into fashion has helped me warm up to having pink in my wardrobe at all because if I see an item I like and it’s only in pink I’ll definitely grab it without hesitation.
