When you think of Business Casual or Dress clothes, do you think about pinstripes?
I sure do! But I Dress Up to Dress down when it comes to my wardrobe. And mixing up your casual and business clothes can be fun and challenging.
A casual band T-shirt with a pinstripe wrap skirt is how I approached this trend. And of course outfits under $50 or $100 are always the goal.
My cut off band T-Shirt is from HM it only ran me about $18. But I always use a 20% off text coupon so it was most likely a little less. The wrap skirt.. $7! What’s crazy is I saw it in another Forever 21 store for Regular price $15 and when I was at another location I found it on the sale rack for half price! Frugal Shopaholic Luck!
Glasses are Buffalo Exchange of course, probably the only place in-store next to Forever 21 that I buy glasses. Surprisingly my bag is from TJ Maxx. For those of you who continue to sleep on TJ Maxx… keep on so I can round up all the cute stuff for my own wardrobe.
Last but not least my heels. They are Cape Robbin brand and I got them from Nordstrom Rack for under $30. You should definitely frequent Nordstrom Rack online. They have some of the best brands for really low prices, I just wish they had free shipping!

Have you ever come across a swimsuit that you loved but didn’t want it to just be worn on pool day?
It’s important to be flexible in your wardrobe and keep an open mind. Even the trend of pajamas being worn as casual wear is a pretty dope concept especially with the prints I’ve seen and also mixing with other types of clothing. One thing that I am definitely sold on is wearing a swimsuit as a top or bodysuit within your everyday wardrobe.
There’s been plenty of times that I have come across a really cute swimsuit automatically thought about wearing it as a cute bodysuit instead. Check out my post on Frugal Shopaholics where I talk more about Swimsuit Turing Bodysuits and also so frugal and chic choices for options.
In this outfit post I’m wearing a color bar swimsuit that I absolutely love. I have a Longchamp bag that is the same print so I instantly fell in love with it, and it was under $10! Paired my new found bodysuit with a patent leather skirt from Forever 21 that was only $15. I don’t think anyone can compete with me when it comes to shopping for frugal clothing or anything frugal. My bag is one of three that was purchased from Tj Maxx a few years ago. I got one in Pink, Blue and Black. Such a convenient clutch bag.
Let’s get into these Nike Prestos, they are my favorite sneakers and they make me feel like I’m walking on air, Perfect right? Mint, Yellow, Nude and Black are all the colors I’ve purchased in the last few months. Mostly from Nordstrom online and the Nike Factory Outlet here in Charlotte, NC.
A lot of people sleep on Forever 21 but I have found some of the cutest pieces there that when people ask they don’t believe that I got them from there. My oversized denim jacket is from Forever 21 and it’s really good quality denim. It was only $35! Not too bad. Check out more outfit details below!

I sure could use a vacation on the shore of somebody’s beach, but until then I’ll envision myself in a bikini with my jersey cover-up.
Better yet lets talk about how Athletic wear is making its way into the wardrobes of many. A few years back I was thrift shopping at my local Goodwill and saw a pair of baseball pants and two random football/basketball jerseys. I didn’t know what I would use them for just yet but I forecasted that they would eventually be a trend. I used the pants for a shoot about two years ago that I paired with a crop top and a vintage Letterman jacket.

Why is it that year after year we get to June and we reflect on where we are in life and either freak out that the year is almost over and we feel like we haven’t accomplished everything we planned or we look at how far we’ve come and how much we’ve grown. Both are normal reactions but I find myself doing a lot of freaking out sometimes when I should really just be thinking about how much I’ve grown and learned in the last few months. All in all, enjoying the moment in Denim. I’ve learned more about blogging, styling and myself and my ability to overcome things that could’ve taken me out but I persevered. I owe all of that to God and family! Continue reading “Enjoying the moment in Denim.”
Shopping is so therapeutic for me but I also consider myself an impulse shopper as well… that isn’t really conducive to my bank account. The Vintage bag featured in this post was most certainly an impulse buy. But I recently decided to go on a 14- day spending fast from July 1st to July 14th. I cannot spend money on material things, i.e. clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. Whew this is going to be tough!
