More Men’s wear in my closet in 2017! I’m not afraid to go to the Men’s section in any store just to see what hidden gems I can find. The shirt I’m wearing is from the HM men’s department in an XS so it fits just like it would in the women’s section. Continue reading “The Format.”
This look was queued up for Day 2 during NYFW but we didn’t get get back to our hotel to change! Edgy and laid back was the look I was going for! I got the Denim jumpsuit from Buffalo Exchange. It’s from Zara and it’s Men’s. It fits loose in the crotch area but tight on my legs and thighs, perfect boyfriend fit!

It’s officially been a week since I attended Fashion Week and I have to say that was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. As I mentioned in my previous post attending NYFW has been on my vision board for the last two to three years. Let that sink in… it may seem like a long time but there’s no time better than the present.
So our trip to NYFW was based around an invitation that we the Frugal Shopaholics (Christen & myself) received to attend the Yuna Yang FW fashion show. Our few hours in the city consisted of us doing a little shopping in the city and we attended a NYFW Style Soiree with Stylinity where we were able to drink champagne and network with other fashion bloggers and check out the unique jewelry in LuLu Frost. We kept the ball rolling and attended the Art Loves Fashion Show that evening. The Art Loves Fashion show showcased three up and coming designers. The three designers we saw were: Fernando Alberto Atelier, Pineda Covalin and Mister Triple X. My favorite designer of the evening was Fernando Alberto Atelier because of the chicness of each piece. Check out photos from the show as well as our looks below.
Day 2- We attended the Yuna Yang Fashion Show. It was the first official show of our trip and we ended up sitting front row where we could see the models at the beginning of the runway. Sweet! See what I wore to the show and my favorite looks from the Yuna Yang FW 17 show below.
After the Yuna Yang show we took our talents to the Skylight Clarkson Square building where most of the top designer shows are held and we ended up in the Dion Lee FW Show. Major Win! The Dion Lee line was very dope! Edgy and right up my alley with simple yet daring pieces. Check out some of my favorite looks from the show below!
After the Dion Lee show was over we hung out in the Skylight building and visited the photo booth to take some quick photos and then we swung by the Tresemme NYFW Salon where hairstylists are hired to spruce up your hair with everything from halo braids to wand curls absolutely free. The right price for frugal shopaholics like ourselves. So we got our hair curled and were prepared for our next move, dinner with some fellow fashion bloggers @inspiredbykrys & @tashjmackk ! Great start to our night, we had one more fashion show to attend Christian Benner FW17. It required us to stand outside in the cold in my heels for an hour and a half. It felt like we were standing in line for the club. Once we got in the concept was totally different than what we expected. The models were standing on a stage and on the tops of booth seats decked out in Christian Benner custom leather jackets. It was jam packed but we at least got a chance to see the line. See looks from show below!
Needless to say I’m happy that we came to NYFW! We were able to attend 4 fashion shows our first time! We met some great people and had an experience of a lifetime. We definitely have a better understanding of how things work and will be bringing our “A”game come September!
Let me tell you something… the sweatshirt I’m wearing finally made the cut for my blog photos, I’ve been holding on to it for forever. I had to cut off the sleeves and make it a crop top!

So I want to start this post off by saying I’m so thankful for the many blessings God has showered on me this year and we are only in our second month of the year. Amen.

Whew… I have finally recovered from traveling to Iceland. Operating off of less than 5 hours of sleep and little to no food our 2 1/2 day trip to Iceland was a success. We definitely hit the ground running when we got to Reykjavik.
